Did you get to "1st base"?
In the current climate, I'd be very careful - no awkward lunges or inappropriate groping. Or anything that could be construed as such. "Crackdown on Runners who were Over-Familiar!" screams the next headline.
I'm all for equality - so much so that, on my last "date" (and I mean, my last - no more! I'm done), as we left, I said "we still need to pay for the coffees" & she was , "Oh, thought you were getting them?" & I said, urm, no, I'll pay for mine? She was MOST put out/miffed - even sniffing as she got her wallet out. Turns out this was exactly the effect I wanted to have! :)
On a first date? As an adult? Definitely not; no bases were considered. There is going to be a second date, though.
I generally do pay for things on dates, but not because I don't believe in equality; just because I want to create the impression that I'm a generous, unselfish person. This is necessary because in real life I am generally neither of those things.
love the 1st para which is serious & good (most of mine is bullshit)
then the second is just hilarious & so true! :)
Does she run?
Well done on the 2nd date though - keep us posted.
