Guess that part of what makes orienteering so appealing is that there are so many things that can go wrong, meaning that when you get everything (nearly) right, it is so amazing!
Yeah, it's pretty tough. I gave it everything, and did some of the best orienteering of my life. It's going to take some time while I remember all the things I like about the sport.
Yeah, I get those aches that last a long time when I have a day (or weekend) like that. Best cure is to go run in another meet so your mind has new experiences to contemplate.
