Nice to see you back on here.

Hello indeed :-) I was wondering whether anyone'd notice - you know if a tree falls in a forest but no one hears it, does it still make a noise?

I've been off 10 years (felt like less) but I want to get back into decent training so thought it would be nice to get back. Also brought back lots of nice results from races in 2000-2002 where I did better than I remembered!

Well, I noticed an unfamiliar name in my list of favourites. Must have been hiding there since Jukola 2006?

Welcome back!

I'm sure in our memories you were pretty good!

Thank you!

In my memory I was always behind feet, ken and BorisGr but it turns out I did actually beat them a few times. I even won an A-Meet once, although I remember it was a bit dodgy in that for some unknown reason, they had used the same control site twice in the same race but with different codes (so there were two sticks there with two codes). I guess it's moved on a bit since then.

I do miss orienteering in the US though. It really has a special "cool" vibe to it you don't get anywhere else.

And Jukola 2006 was cool. I enjoyed that much more than Jukola 2016 which for various reasons put me off for a while.

Yeah, what everybody else said. Welcome back :)

Woohoo! Good to see you back! So... what adventure can we plan for 2018?

I remember a good time was had by all when the Billygoat was at Blue Mountain in 2002 (?). If that's on again in 2018..., well, kind of domestic for most of us, but if Arnold wants to come over again?

I certainly remember a good time was had by me, it's still one of my all time most-loved races.

I thought a good time was had by all except feet at the 2002 BG at BM? Or is feet over it by now?

Definitely one of the most fun races I've ever done. Skipping control 1 was just a genius idea. Although re reading the Results! now, it seems there were heavy style point deductions for CSU. I'm surprised we were allowed back after that if I'm honest.

And yes I will try my best to come over - seems like it will be BM after all!

Or not BM..
