I thought you might be able to break 2.50 and still think you will. Good effort though considering the circumstances.

Great effort to run 2:56 in the circumstances, well done. Agree with what Paul said - your training definitely suggests a sub-2:50 was on the cards if you hadn't been ill before the race. You've got a great training base behind you now, so I'm sure you could have a really good crack at another one next year if you've got the inclination...
