I've only ever seen plain old S. purpurea in the wild. We have a couple of the mountain sweet pitchers here in the greenhouse, but I'm sure they're nowhere near as impressive..

As you know, this plant has a beautiful bloom, so it would have been neat to have seen them in bloom, but the timing was what it was.

While I was out looking for them, I couldn't help but think about how jonesii might be affected by climate change, and especially how temperature sensitive it might be. Given its habitat demands and the small area it occupies geographically, I presume there is zero percent chance it could successfully migrate unassisted to new locales, but I also imagine there are other localities where it could be successfully established--quite possibly many other localities.
