I'm not sure. I haven't been on any other maps by him I certainly don't want to bad-mouth anyone who maps. It's a tough job and people will always disagree with you no matter how good it is.
But sometimes it can be good to provide feedback, or at least that's what I think.
The Rutgers map could actually be more interesting with fewer features. Having fewer points of reference makes it pretty tough sometimes, particularly on a map like that one with 2.5m contours.

There's definitely a lot improved with the new map. The contours are clearly greatly improved.
It's important to keep in mind that I'm very against mapping rootstocks unless they're a very relevant feature simply because of how quickly they can make a map obsolete. As much as we try to standardize mapping, there continues to be room for each mapper's style.
