Jagge: Live GPS tracking:

If you zoom out, you can already see a dot waiting on my balkonywest from the map. I'll pu some clotes on and make a 45 min run with the unit. Let me know how it looks - I can't watch while I run...

I'll write here a comment when it's over.

cedarcreek: I can see the dot dithering around.

cedarcreek: After the first 2 minutes or so, where it was moving in a small area, it stopped moving. For the last 30 minutes or so, it hasn't moved (as far as I can tell).

Jagge: The device lost signal while I was indoors on my way out. And I didn't wait outside wihtout moving as I should have done (Sirf III can't lock to new satellites if you move). Better luck next time - tomorrow...

cedarcreek: If you can adjust the time it takes for the tail to disappear, you might set it for 30 minutes or some other big number. That way you could come back inside and see the tail. After you get it working you could set it back to some reasonable number.

Jagge: Yeah, I'll write everything to a log file, jstu had no time to add it. I got his toy yesterdey evening and made all software adjustments today just before the run.I only wanted to do a test run before going to sleep - it was 9pm when I headed out for a run...

But it worked pretty well on my balkony (50% of the sky visible) for 30 minutes, that's a good sign...
