Discussion: Swedish thing

Yes, it seems to me it is all too common to read about people on AP training through injuries and various illnesses.
One of the reasons for Swedes being more careful could be the plentiful occurrence of unexplained deaths among orienteers in the 90ies. TWAR was thought to be one explanation - another simply training with an infection resulting in heart failure.
Re: Several weeks of coughing it's something going also in Sweden right now, so maybe that's also a Swedish thing?

Whoa. I was unaware of this. Such a tragedy for the Swedish O community - must have been a scary time.

Looks like it has been discussed on AP before.

Was planning on racing tomorrow - now I'm spooked!
