Where is it? I have a vague recollection of Karl running something with that name but I'm guessing there's more than one that uses that moniker.
It's on Mt Penn. Which may answer my question - yes it's probably hard... :)
Chris Hand has almost certainly done it, Karl has probably done it, and maybe Wyatt at some point. Those are the three I see doing Pretzel City stuff. I've done their tame road 5Ks but never any of their long trail races.
I ran it last winter. It is hard with one really long uphill on the back side of Mt. Penn (from down near the high school up to the fire tower). Still fun though.
In my opinion the chilly cheeks is the most difficult of the winter races but it is not a killer race. I think you should give it a try. Even walking it would be great exercise
When is it? I might even consider walking it!!
It's January 7th....not much time to get ready...Ugly Mudder in mid February...it could be "fun" to try both
Only if Sandy does... :))))
Jan 7? Hmm...was vaguely thinking of going to Anza Borrego that weekend but since I've left it this late probably not.
I would like to try one of the longer races at some point but I'm pretty sure I will be in DC that weekend. I've done the trail 10K that QOC used to hold, but that was nice and flat and I was in better shape then.
Maybe the Ugly Mudder! It would be fun to have a group out there. Open to hearing suggestions on other trail races too.
Signed up for Chilly Cheeks! Who else will join me..? Let's get a whole DVOA crew out there! Don't let me shiver alone...

Greg is organizing a junior training camp and one of the activities is running this race. Another activity is to do a middle course on Mt Penn on Saturday. So hopefully there will be a very large orienteering contingent there. I had a kidney stone surgery today so I will not sign up until I know I can do the race. But I might be walking it as well.
