Astrid's mother is a talented French Horn player but she would prefer Astrid to be a percussionist. She was practicing today at lunch on a metal table with anything and everything she could reach in between eating.

I got my god-daughter a xylophone a few years ago. Her parents were very pleased (not).

One of those ride on plastic trains with a whistle driven by an arm attached to the back axle. I plan to give one to each and every grandchild if I have the opportunity.

You house would be a great place for them to use the train. You have so much floorspace.

And that would allow you to enjoy the experience too.
