for planning in those conditions. Character building stuff!

Sorry I didn't offer to help collect controls. The rest of the family wouldn't have thanked me.

Looking at GPS traces on RG it appears that the depression was in the right place. My 'head up and hope for the best' technique just wasn't good enough in those conditions and I should have attacked more carefully.
Thanks again.

No problems Charlie! Thanks so much for coming along, I think if I wasn't planning I would seriously consider giving it a miss!

No worries at all - I completely understand that it was very sensible to go and get warm ASAP after running. We had a couple of helpers, and the rest of the controls didn't take us so long to get.

It may have been in the right place - but it's true that there weren't so many features to attack from (especially in those conditions) and it wasn't particularly large. Something for me to consider as a planner, anyway!

Thanks Aislinn, I kind of enjoyed it and Oli was gutted not to be able to run the black. Alex loved doing White and especially getting to the start and back from the finish which was 'even funner' apparently!

Thanks for coming Jenny! I think Oli might have dodged a bullet...haha. Oh I'm glad to hear the white course went OK, I suppose you don't really get much feedback from the little ones! I think Brian takes the credit for the fun route to and from the start / finish - it was certainly imaginative!
