Most of the coffee shops around here are closed between Christmas and New Year :( You can tell that Adelaide's not a holiday destination...

Pretty well all of them on my local strip in Fairfield are open this week, although a couple are closing in early January.
The cafe at the base of our office building learned after the first couple of years that the Bureau of Meteorology is definitely back at work in the first week of January. (In our section, the first week of January is one of the busiest of the year; those people who are taking time off in January are mostly doing it in the second half of the month).
