A Happy and Healthy 2018 to all reading this! And see you all in Whitehorse :)

I second that! AP has really been great for me as I'm keeping touch with people, sometimes just reading, sometimes commenting, but still feeling like I'm part of the community. And often, while running, biking or whatever, I'm already thinking about what I want to write on AP, whether I'd seen or experienced something special.
Actually, after every month, I also print it out and it has been a great diary for me to look back upon.
Hope you come back MJ :-).
And Whitehorse? what's happening there? I assume Canadian Championships? with the bears and mosquitoes?? ;-)

North American Champs - possibly the odd bear but they don't seem to be a problem up there (unlike the Bow Valley...), and I've never seen a lot of mosquitoes! August 17-24!

Check it out! Should be really good :) Lots of hiking, canoeing, swimming, etc, etc!

I second Beatrice, in that AP is a good way for us scattered folks to stay up to date. I also look for past entries in my own log to remind myself of activities I've done or places I've been. Occasionally I write what clothing I wore (sometimes in a private note to myself...that's an option to folks who donate / "subscribe" along with posting GPS tracks) for activities in extreme temperatures.

Not sure yet whether we'll make it to NAOC because the logistics (mostly cost to get there, and where to stay) are complicated, but we're still thinking. My first year as W65 but with daunting competition. ;-)

Happy new year!

I am planning to camp at the Robert Service campground.

If Torino is coming, that would certainly weigh in favor of me signing up!

Hmm, Charlie, that IS a challenge! But Alaska is SOOO far away. And I'd like to do a lot more MTBO races as I found out that there is a Masters Series which will be finishing at the Swedish 5Days. Hard to choose from so many options, and finances are always a consideration, too. We'll see.
Yes, Janet, the W65 is one of the hardest classes at least here in Swissland.

Thanks, MJ for "lending" or abusing (?) your AP log for us to communicate.
