Discussion: My brother Dirk died this morning

It's hard to believe those words Koski. He would have been 56 Feb 20th. My little brother is gone although he was about 6ft and 280. He had a sort of pace maker installed...his heart was bad...probably from all the chemo he got in 97 when he had lymphoma. He was quite a story teller...you did not have to know any of the people in his stories to laugh your sides sore, and the stories were even funnier when you knew the people.

He often had to get up at night due to breathing difficulties...he got up and died about the time he stood up...he went down hard. I just cannot believe he is gone. Saw him the last time last week when at the farm. He told some stories after I got him started. He was a good brother.

His funeral is at ten today. He looked like he was sleeping in the casket. It is unbelievable that he won’t be around to talk to and joke with when I come down to see Okieland. He was the funniest storyteller I’ve ever heard.
