Nice going. Sounds like brutal conditions. Did your lungs ever feel ok during the race?

I think there comes a time when we all realize that we're out there competing, not necessarily to beat anyone, but to turn in a performance in which we can be proud. It's a personal thing after a certain age; not a competitive thing.

I still enjoy going to races and finishing at the back of the pack. The race gives me something to train for, and to look forward to doing. I can't understand why so many older guys just don't show up anymore. Good for you that even in brutal conditions, feeling undertrained, that you still drove over to Lapham and did the race.

My lungs felt good after I slowed down the pace. Seemed my body could go faster then my lungs would produce O2. Just need snow here. I bet you have more in Chicago then here in K town.
I am looking forward to next week and it will be warm by the future forecast.
