For long-lived snow patches you want a steep south-facing slope; can't think of too many of those at Falls (better chances on Bogong or Feathertop, and the extra 100m or so of elevation would help too). More common to see them at Kosciusko.

There was a few snow patches to the north and south east of mount nelse on the 27th, much to my delight
