but if you're at the point where you're taking imodium BEFORE a race as a precaution, i'd say something's not right, and i don't think something like 'processed food' would cause it. maybe the imodium actually caused it?
We all get GI distress at some stage or another, but 1 gel shouldn't really do it...

Hopefully you've discussed with a doctor at some point?

Yeah I very rarely use Imodium and was an experiment to see if it would make a difference. Most of the time it's the usual 'ate too much, too soon' but yeah need to figure it out. Often get it in SSS around 7km and mainly happens when running sub 4min/km pace...hence my PR's past 5km are slow. So it's specific to running fast and nothing else. Blood work is perfect, got it done recently.

I'll eat healthier and see how that goes. Looks like I've turned into that weird kid we all knew at school who was meat-free, dairy-free, egg-free, gluten-free etc etc :)
