I'm feeling just a little better now about my initial noodling at 2F/1E. I'd tossed up between 1D-1T-2F-1E or 1T-1D-2F-1E. Chose the latter with expectation I could get through the park 1D-2F.You know the answer to that. So getting to corner of park and NO way I continued up and then down to 3C - 3D and then turn around time. North didn't give that many points so hey I'll go 1J - 1E-2F- ...wait for it... through park to 2C-1C-2D -F.
I talked to a few people - related my total stupidity story - first time OK a bit of a grumble but a second time? That's total stupidity. But others "caught" by same - GT, Shane J, Peter N, and now you. Some others are also saying they a catching themselves out by thinking there is a control when it is the number (ie not circle).
There are really only so many ways you can mess things up. :-))

Wait, so you got through the park from 2F and up to 2C? There was a passageway?
Or are you talking about the park where the entrance is to the left of 1J and pops you out at 3C?
I had initially planned 1D-1T-2F-1E and thought about skipping 3C altogether. But as i was heading towards 1T i changed my route and decided that i could surely get through and why didn't i think of it before? Clearly my oxygen-filled brain had seen that i couldn't get through but my oxygen-deprived brain hadn't thought about it.
Yes sometimes i get confused and think there is a control on a certain road when it is just that the number from a street over happens to be sitting closely.

My stupidity was not realising that you couldn't get through from 2F to the little park and up to 2C because I'd already tried to get from the park to 2F about 10 mins beforehand. It just looked like such a nice flow... pity there wasn't some sort of connection other than the one I was making up!!!
First time - OK "bad" luck didn't look carefully enough - but a 2nd time???? That takes the stupidity stakes to a whole new level.
Good luck tomorrow - ride safe!
