As I age, the more I think 'Lemon' is U2's best song.
Their early stuff is classic, (and I loved it, and grew up with it, and I've belted it at concerts, and I felt things) - but it's fluffy.
One thing is for sure though:
Anything after 'Zooropa' is closer to terrible than good, and especially fluffy.
Unforgettable Fire then War then Joshua Tree then ??!
Then Achtung Baby then Zooropa, ending at Stay (Faraway, So Close), just because I liked the Wim Wenders movie.
But did you climb the highest mountains and run the fields?
War, October, Boy - I'm old school. The Joshua Tree is actually closer to Death Valley than Joshua Tree NP.
