Those are some nice running trails. Congrats on doing an hour over there. But weren't they icy in places? What's wrong with a nice safe road run, and running over to MB and back?

They were not icy except in tiny patches. Why would anyone run the road if you have time to run trails??
The wind was really strong and the woods was the only place to avoid them.

Ha ha! Compared with the city streets where I run, your country roads seem llike a 'walk in the Park.' But I understand about the wind. The increasing number of high rises is causing very windy conditions on the city streets. It is enough to make one retreat to the basement.

There’s a lot wrong with a nice safe road run: cars, for example, wind, pavement. Trails are better. More restorative physically and spiritually.
