Came across a quote I liked the other day in the AMC Outdoors magazine: "There is no bad weather, only bad clothing". Helpfully optimistic, too.
Totally agree. But it amazes me how people, in our climate, can walk around without mittens or gloves, or only in T shirts, etc. Or why anyone would not wear a coat even if they were traveling by car. They remote start their car, wait till the interior heats up and then walk out of the house with nary a jacket on and then presumable drive to a garage in the basement of their workplace. Is their car that reliable? (Rant concludes.)
Driving to work, I often see adolescents, usually male, walking to school in winter in T shirt or shorts. Evidently no dress code and certainly no sense - though the latter is ingrained at that age.
