Hey Leif, are there any Swedes we should keep an eye on at the Olympics?

I follow mostly XC skiing and there are a few women with definite (gold) medal capacities - Charlotte Kalla and Stina Nilsson primarily but also a very strong group over all in Sprint - and the Relays should be fun (both Sprint and Distance).
With some luck one or two medal contenders among the men: Calle Halfvarsson and Markus Hellner (?) and maybe some Sprinter (Teodor Petersson, Oscar Svensson) + Relays.

In Biathlon I don´t think they're quite up there. Top 10 at best.

Alpine skiing has a few interesting names too - both men (Andre Myhrer, Mathias Hargin) and women (Frida Hansdotter) - but I don´t follow them closely enough for predictions but definitely medal contenders.

Ski Cross (Sandra Näslund), Freestyle/Slope style skiing (Jennie Lee Burmansson) plus maybe someone else?

Ice Hockey of course.

There are several competitions with no Swedes (?) at all as far as I know (Ski jumping, Nordic combined, Luge, Bobsleigh, Speed skating...)

PS. I´ll be in Spain for most of the Olympics and will probably not follow very closely - at least not full Live coverage...

We do have a speed skater but it is sad to see how small that sport has become in Swe esp with the great tradition we have. With all the new indoor bandy arenas one would think that thise facilities could be used for some speed skating too.
