your "slow" pace seemed fine. Not even all that sluggish in good conditions if billed as easy, and definitely reasonable with the footing and the climb. Sources cited
Thanks for the calculator! I don't know if I could honestly call it easy because I ran up most of the hills but it was all aerobic and I paused to remove a few big branches from the trails. I'm always blown away by AdventureDog's fitness. Nothing ever seems like a big deal to him and he always goes farther than we do. :)
Please don’t do Yasso 800s.
I've never done them but if I ever do, I'll be too embarrassed to share my predicted marathon time.
Well Bash I figure if we hadn't signed up for that 60km we probably wouldn't be running at all (at least I wouldn't)...so good on you for getting out in some pretty horrendous conditions. Only 7 weeks until spring!
You're right about the running! I'm sad about the poor ski conditions though. Last year I trained for my February running race by skiing but that's been a bust for the last couple of weeks.
Black Canyon Ultras - a point-to-point trail race north of Phoenix. They have a 60K and 100K. We'll report back on it!
That race looks pretty fun, wish I could join you! Looks like a few of the people I used to run with in Tucson are doing the 100K, part of a crowd that was just getting bit by the ultra bug before I left. (I guess they've been permanently infected.)
It would be a fun 100K! Point-to-point races are logistically difficult but they feel like an incredible journey. Still hoping to see you at the Antelope Canyon Ultra next year. :)
Denise McHale will be there too!
Browner and Bash will crush her :-)
By “crush”, FB means we’ll give her a good luck hug.
