Sorry that your operation last year didn't meet expectations. But I didn't have an operation, and my cardiovascular performance hasn't been meeting my expectations either most recently. Just can't maintain a decent pace on my rowing machine. Hope things will improve as we get into the spring...for both of us!

Boston is one of my favorite cities. I used to live a couple blocks down Beacon Street from the Hill in the early 1970's, before Boston really came into its own. I lived in one of those Back Bay mansions that had been cut up into small apartments. And drove out to Lynn every morning for work. My life then, more than any other time, reminded me of that old Sinatra song...

Chi, you certainly have been around! A first cousin of mine also lived in one of those Back Bay mansion apartments looking out to the Charles. Probably could even find the old address with a little searching. After college, setting up shop in Cambridge or across the river was a popular thing to do, while spouse prospecting perhaps.

Spring is renaissance and brings fresh hope. I'll continue to address what can be remediable.
