I think we should collect and share our experiences orienteering with our kids here, both the successes and the failures.
Yesterday, Alli and I successfully carried Inara around a Yellow course (well, Alli did the carrying and the navigating; I just controlled the dog) in a mild amount of rain. Inspired by Cristina and Lukas, we have started enthusiastically saying "beep" whenever a control is punched.
I am pretty sure that beeping is the key to getting children interested in our wonderful sport. It's also a necessity in Norway, a (beepless) EMIT country.
