I have seen where this new company makes shoes in Kenya. Do you know anything about them yet? Did you pick a headlamp yet and use it? One thing I wonder about is how it feels as well as how it works. Is there enough light to actually matter?

No... I'm pretty out of the loop when it comes to shoes. I've stuck with the Hokas for like...6-7 pair now.
I bought a $50 headlight (Beal) with several intensity settings. It really works! Only used it once and it wasn't pitch dark yet.

Thanks for info. I use several brands and they all have their good days and bad days on my feet...I'm leaning towards New Balance as my primary shoe. I'm pretty sure any of the brands would be ok if I only wore them and no others...I probably use only 1 or 2 pair more than once a week.

I do like the Hoka Clifton's but then Hoka itself has so many shoes and it's taken forever to get the feel of the 2nd pair I can't even remember their name right now. I even ran in them today. I'll probably get a headlight for next year as I feel so feeble and defensive in the dark now.
