Congratulations for maintaining negative splits throughout that long piece. Quite a change from last week's 500m dash. Did that cause your quad to act up?
I'm having a hard time returning to my form from last May when I put up a few pieces at the beginning of the season. Now i'm forced to take a week off healing up some leg surgeries yesterday....squamous cell lesions that had to come off using the old bologna slicer. Ugh!
Heal up well. I had one of those squamous cells extracted from my back a year or three ago. Not fun, but seems to have healed up fine in short order. A bit late in the game, but I have learned my lesson about the sun (mostly), and I always wear a shirt, and generally wear a hat when I am out and about in it.
Not sure what made my quad react the other day, but most likely culprit was going out and running 5K. It was fine today, or mostly fine. I generally have a little weakness on the R adductor and it feels vulnerable when I work it, even if not outright sore. Anyway, it didn't really mind the 5K today.
