I came across the "On" shoes ("on" or "on cloud" ?) at a shoe sale, and bought 2 pairs. I found them great for long distances, incl. the marathon I ran in October. They are as light as racing flats, yet padded like trainers.
Who makes those? I think what I need to do is a) test Inov-8's 2018 road shoes, and b) go to Marathon Sports or whatever and try ALL the shoes. I used to like Mizunos, so those may be worth checking out again.
It's too bad Inov-8 isn't making the RoadX-233 anymore - those were my favorites, but my pair of them is already at like 500 miles, so should probably just let them go. Looks like the F-lite 260 may be a reasonable replacement? Will try them out.
They are expensive (Swiss company) but there might be some sales.
For example (sale item)
Looks like the "Greater Boston Running Company" stores are outlets for jackrabbit.
I ran in Inov-8s until they wore out for training and racing, and they seemed to work. If you can try out a pair for some longer runs and they work, obviously a lighter shoe helps.
