Been a long time. Hope no serious ailments. There remains one FP 5k this weekend and would be nice to see you.

No known ailments beyond a serious case of couch potatoitis.

Regrettably, 5k is well beyond my current abilities ...

That said, tickled that anyone noticed that I actually posted. Thanks guys.

If you can do 2mi in 22’, then you won’t be last around. Come on out even if you just walk. You would not be the only one.

George, sounds like you're hunting for a scalp. But you forget that Steve is very, very fragile, and would likely disintegrate were he to try do a 5k race.

No watch. 22' was wildly optimistic wishful thinking.

If you're on our list of favorites and we read SO frequently, we notice when a missing name shows up again.

Sorry Phil, I don’t count whatever those things are. Really more encouraging to Steve and hoping to see him - and you if you care to show.

For Steve - 3.4 mi in 40’ is good. Just saw an Amby Burfoot article on the history of his training over the years - from 40x400 in 75” when at Wesleyan to currently run 4’:walk 1’ as his strategy for training and his upcoming Boston run.

run 4':walk1' sounds like how I orienteer, but with run and walk reversed.

Cut it out George, my resolve to not show up at the 5K is weakening ...
