well done Hans. Skiing is nicer but it is also a tougher sport.

Congrats Hans! How did you like the course?

And how many WorldLoppets are you up to?

It is a fun course. The scenery is constantly changing. I have done 6 different worldloppets so far (Vasa, Gatineau/Keski, Birkebeineren, Tartu, Finlandia, Birkie). Only one new since 2000 (Birkie). Marcialonga is the one loppet I'd like to do but the timing is not good for me.

Some friends from here want to do the Iceland Loppet one of these years.

What is the race in Switzerland like?

I've heard it is very very fast. As close to being in a cycling peleton as possible for skiers. Skate race mostly on lakes.

It is either flat or downhill http://www.engadin-skimarathon.ch/en/engadin-skima...
Easy-ish enough to allow for a ski in the mountains afterwards...

I recommend Marcialonga. Very nice to combine with some extra skiing at Seiser Alm. Of course the Italian food and drink + nice company helps too.
