I had the punch! I think her watch was on 1s recording interval and mine was 5s.

btw, what GPS are you using? looks great if at 1 second interval it can record for six hours. Mine is a Garmin Forerunner 305 and if I don't set it to "smart recording", and it is set to "1 second" data recording, it will not record more than 3-4 hours. Also, need advice on a GPS recorder that can be used at 24-hour rogaine. Last year i used 3 (yes, three...) Garmin Forerunners 205/305. Maybe I gotta upgrade myself to the current generation of technology...

We both have suunto ambit run watches that can do 1, 5, or 60s intervals. At 1s it lasts ~8 hr and at 60s I think it lasts ~24 hr.

For 24 hr races we typically use a Qstarz BT1000XT screenless logger which can do 48hr at 1s intervals I believe

You can find a Suunto Ambit Peak that'll do ~8 days @ 1 minute intervals.

I'd buy one, but Wilderness Traverse won't let me use it.

Edit:

I used 1s intervals with "good" accuracy (15 hour life)
Syd used 1s intervals with "best" accuracy (10 hour life)

I like her distance and climb better :)
