But Easter 2019 is in WA. With a bit of running training and some nav practice, you could be much more competitive- besides, you’ll (probably) have occasional orienteers like me to beat!
It's somewhere near Yetar, which is a black hole area for my navigation (admittedly I do "okay" at Yetar Springs - it's the nearby maps of Malmalling and Nganga... etc that I totally suck balls on). Plus I can't run officially at the prologue next year given that I'm mapping it. Also run training depends on whether or not my knee ever actually heals.
I did get my one NOL point out of this Easter though (finished 25th in the prologue).
There are two Australian Champs events the weekend after Easter 2019 where you are legal to race
I'm totally legal to race Easter next year, just not as an Elite as I cannot do the prologue!
I'm thinking we should put M40 & M45 on the same course as M21E for Days 1 and 3 of Easter, and W40 & W45 on the same course as W21E. Then the likes of Bruce, Craig, Blair, Fletch, Jenny C, etc can count in the NOL for the Prologue and the first and 3rd days of Easter, but still be in their true age class for the 3 Days overall - and not have to run 21E for the really long 2nd day. Might even attract people like Warren and Jim, which would boost the small fields in the 40/45 classes.
Pity tRicky won't be eligible for the Prologue, but he could still run M40 and NOL for 2 of the days.
I'd prefer to run the long course on day 2 than the other pieces of shit days as it suits my crap navigation style of aiming for the biggest feature. Also with the latest rule change I doubt the 40/45 model you are proposing would qualify for NOL points (M/W20Es no longer get senior points if running the same course as the M/W21Es).
