I had been eagerly awaiting that RouteGadget entry, pretty much from the moment I got back from the race. :-)

I was hoping to look at the routes with skips, but the routes I've seen so far look like they've visited all the controls. But there were skips, right?

Edit: Now that there are more routes loaded, I see some interesting skip choices. Routegadget enables an exciting replay.

I think the optimal skips were relatively easy, at least for the Kid:

Skipping 10/11 was by far the largest saving you could get.

Both #2 & #3 on the course were obviously faster than me but messed up their skip selection, which allowed me to finish in front of them.

For the Goat the challenge was far more interesting, I do think Culberg found the best option by skipping 29-30-31.

You can view the course variations (and run the animation) by selecting all the competitors even if they have not drawn their routes yet.
