Yes... mile-4:50, 800-2:15, 4X400 :56
cold and windy day, some snow flakes.
I remember bitching when Pfingsten made me do the 4X440 after doing the mile :)
Nearly May and snow flakes! But we had them only 3 weeks ago down here. Those are good times especially considering miserable conditions.
I only ran one competitive 440...I had run 65 or 66 for first lap of about a 5:01 mile...I believe the outdoor track was 5 laps to mile for some reason but that might be wrong. Anyway on whim Pfingsten put me in a open 440. I ran my all time best 58.6 or sometime in the 58's. Last 50 yards the bones in my legs began to bend and warp as I tied up...if I could have held on might have run about 55 I guess cuz I really slow down...I'm glad I ran that 440 though.
Tomorrow are the Memorial Marathon races...about 20,000 people for all of them. I believe they have pulled off a miracle and it's going to be a good morning weather wise.
That 440 would have been at Hibbing. Their old track was 5 laps to the mile, which was nice, cuz we could run sub-60's :)
My best was also on cinders--:56
That sounds right. I've never seen or heard of a 5 lap track other than that one.
