Happy 60th birthday! Sounds like a fine way to celebrate it.
Thanks, and you never know how many more there might be, so it was a perfect day, and a nice day spent well.
Half joking and half serious ("you never know")--looking at males on my father's side of the family, longevity has not been a strong suit. Counting my dad's father, his sons (3), and their sons (4), I'm the only one left. My dad made it to 65 and I don't think any of the others made it to 50.
It's an odd mixture--birthdays and death--isn't it? You don't think much about death at 30, or at least I didn't. Double that time, and then any number of people you knew have died, mostly older, but some younger. And clearly more than half your life is behind you.
There's nothing to lament; there is a tinge of poignancy, however. Perfect days are treasures, and treasures are rare.
Happy belated birthday! IIRC, this means that Mike Fritz is now 60 as well?
Happy birthday indeed Mr. SF. Best wishes from Ratlum Mt.
