Big Jon:
nowadays you should have a good quality proper spare torch - they are cheap, light, so no excuses, the team should have provided one.
You'll get over the feeling, Lange natt is special ;-)

"insta bonked 5 min in" good work carcas! I am waiting for the write up where you hit the wall in the - 1 box!

5 mins barely got you past the start kite. I feel this write up is close to peak carcas.

May as well have a story to tell after long night. Good effort.

Haha aye, definitely worth investing in something a little better after that experience. The team gave me both the lights I used and the main light was brand new, fully charged - I think the team coach had some hard words with MILA after that experience!!

apparently i hit 2:39/km climbing out the arena - in hindsight perhaps not the best idea!! cheers guys, was definitely an experience. Hopefully I can have a slightly less exciting time at Jukola!

I remember one Jukola first leg where guys with number 14xx were tearing past me on the run-out. At the start kite some were keeled over retching from their sprint effort. Not big, not clever. Save the sprint for the run-in!

Yeah no definitely agree - realised my mistake pretty early on but had been told to catch the train.

In hindsight a gentle jog to the startkite and then a shout wait for the göteborg team would have been the best option!
