Adeline Vidolova and the Landrigan sisters are members of CRLS’s orienteering program run by the Athletic Department and coached by former USA team member Ethan Childs.

Arent all of the kids members of the CRLS O-program?

No. Only some of them signed up to participate in the athletic department run orienteering program. It is a varsity sport like soccer and lacrosse: you have to commit to practicing every day, and you can't do another sport at the same time. This team of kids races at local CSU and NEOC meets. Hopefully in the future there will be other schools doing the same thing, and those local races will be competitive between schools.

Other CRLS students who went to nationals do not participate in the athletic department orienteering program because they could not make the commitment to daily practices, or they wanted to do a different sport after school.

As it says in the press release, Ethan coaches the CRLS program, and Navigation Games provides other opportunities for training for the kids who aren't in that program.

Congratulations to you and Ethan and all the CRLS orienteers! Gives me some hope for the future of orienteering in the US.
