That with Hanson hills, which has a permanent course and the USGS is interesting (grayling area near Brenda’s house)
Nope, that's Crawford County.
There is some sweet State Forest terrain just south of exit 222 though.
With Steve going nuts in these parts, I am intrigued by the idea of having say, six hour rogaines elsewhere in the LP. Doesn't really match the company name, but small details. If I slightly increased my scouting speed, it wouldn't be that time onerous to scout in a single big day, and would be fun to get away from the standard suite of parks. Perhaps more barebones if attendance is weak....
Alternatively, we could do our national meets at the far flung parks, to justify the setup with better attendance and justify higher fees for locals than what they are used to paying at the standard venues.
A part of this should also include some changes to mapping work pricing model. The current arrangement works for smaller base maps for SMOC areas, but not so much for random requests from associated organizations, nor for larger areas. Okay in the very short term, but otherwise my time is really limited these days.
Like mapping a 10x10km area will wipe out the whole club's budget, obviously that's not how it works.
In other words, I'd rather be mapping larger areas and keeping the maps to myself, rather than charging and transferring the ownership to the club.
