| StoraMoo: | I thought I had a great time running in the woods today.
I also thought the pie maker did not sound too receptive to the idea of a pre T day dinner sampling of pies. I have always thought it is best to adbide the wishes of the pie maker, especially if she is holding a knife to a butter squash |

| Swampfox: | Well, you would have been right about the pies, but the choices weren't pie limited, I think. I think there were other possibilities as well. I think the butternut squashes were somewhat alarming, code colored as they were to a Chertoff Orange. I think there were many all day long cooked string beans left over. Mushy peas too. Does anyone at all like the leftover mushy pea? I am skeptical, and just try feeding that to a cat. I think there will be weeks and weeks of leftovers, and that is even before the cooking of the guest mystery turkey left on the front porch on Wednesday, and I think that is 25 pounds of mystery. Man.
The one gracenote is that somehow in all the planning, the obligatory sweet potato dish got overlooked, and nobody brought any. So there is that to think about. So fine! |
