Discussion: Dorset Map

Any chance you've scanned the Dorset Map? Would have been a mid-80s Ontario Champs.

Thanks Mark! And agreed about the terrain there. Last event I ever went to they pretty much said the white was now green and much of the green was now decent.

But, the reality, it is pretty far from TO. Some trip to TO let's sit down and plot out some of these older maps and which would be best to target. Perhaps we can invite Hammer and his memory of every knoll south of Sudbury.

Awesome Mark! Where's the Kiwanis Camp?

Maybe score them 1-5 for both: terrain and location

Kiwanis Camp is the furthest east of the cluster of maps in north Durham County. They pretty much border each other - (Glen Major, Dagmar, Walkers Woods, and I believe Uxbridge and Pleasure Valley). It's a tonne of terrain.

I believe they are all TOC maps.

I also believe TOC will be hosting Ontario Championships in 2019 - so that's that.

The distance from the rest of the GTA is the problem...to map.

I bet you could do a wicked technical Forested Sprint on one of those maps.
Or do the Middle and Long out there, have the Sprint in TO another time.

Durham College and the University of Ontario Institute of Technology campus in north Oshawa is about 25km away.
