That sounds like a really good time (for Kellie). But I wouldn't have picked Kellie as an ultra runner...
apparently a few orienteers did the run/walk - Mary McDonald did the 50 in 10 hours. Not going too hard early and be willing to take some rest stops helped Grant he said. Plus he was offered a cup of tea at 2am in the morning by a first aid lady before doing the 951 steps at the end of the race helped.
Kellie has done a few 6 inch runs and end to end Bib Track

OK, fair enough! :) I guess I didn't think her running style was suited to ultras. Looking at it another way - if she can do 100km in less than 15 hours - has she done any competitive rogaining? Why not go the full 24 hour??
