Discussion: Small World

I learned this week that you used to do spin classes with one of my engineering classmates, Anita Rossall. Recently, she and I have found several connections between our lives after many years of not being in touch. Cool!

OMG, we have done many spin classes with Anita and John, and they even had us over to their Canmore place for supper! We’ve swapped lots of great stories and chats during and after spin classes.

She made me guess our “western connection” and her clue was “ultra”. Maybe she saw your names in our mutual Facebook friends list.

We also discovered that we each have a connection to Nipika Resort. Hers is much stronger; she’s a shareholder.

Long ago, we discovered that we know her sister-in-law, who lives near us. ‘Bent met her years ago through the U of T Outing Club.

We’re going to keep looking for more connections! As it happens, cycling played a role in our relationship in university. Anita would have been in my graduating class but her front wheel got caught in a train track one day and after her recovery, she ended up graduating a year later than planned.

Ouch, crazy that her bike crash set her back a year! :(

Yes, I have heard them mention Nipika several times... I think John may be a bit of a rocket...
