Discussion: Heatwave

Noticed that there was a Norwegian record for May today. The monthly averages must also be running at highest on record by a long way (saw on the SMHI website that Stockholm and Uppsala are both on track to set May monthly mean records by close to 2 degrees). Would be a very significant warm spell even in midsummer.

Of course, it was almost as hot last year in May, and then didn't get close to that again all summer....

Yeah the nationwide May monthly average was 4.2 C above normal and a massive record (previous record 2.7 C). Also a new May maximum temperature record for Norway (32.3 C).
