Did you map any pits too? I've always said pits are for burying the mappers who map them.
To finish it in proper Finnish style just remember to draw one form line between all full contours.
The (local piece) Laramie Range never featured much in the way of full scale mining activity. But even here there was some prospecting activity, and the maps feature at least a dozen or so fine examples of what was possible with pick axe, shovel, sweat, and some determination. And dynamite..
Then there is my my own contribution. It's not very impressive. It's kind of like a beginner level pit. But I continue to work on and improve it. Plus I've never used dynamite.
Yesterday while mapping I left a spot that I wasn't really satisfied with, but it was good enough, and to do anymore probably meant making a major shift of a full contour, and even then that might not have done it. At some point you just have to move on, which is what I did. There was at least one silver lining though, which was I got to use two levels of form lines in between the contour interval. That made me happy and even made the mosquitoes happy, too, I think.
One day lidar will come along here, and it will be interesting to compare spots like this.
