Was it Reverend Jim Ignatowski? Sounds like something he might have said on "Taxi" :) He'd never use vulgarity though, even politely.

What's your poster topic?

I think this is a movie that I have never seen, I don't get the reference at all! Movies are generally missing from my cultural education...

My poster is about building a mass-spec assay for proteins in cerebrospinal fluid that might help us stratify Alzheimer's patients prior to clinical trials. It's super early days but there was lots of enthusiasm!

Interesting. So the idea is to classify level of disease progression or to select trials subsets for some specific aspects of the disease that are encoded in particular proteins?

Taxi was a tv sitcom from the late 70's about NYC cab drivers. Christopher Lloyd, Danny DeVito, Tony Danza, Marilu Henner and notably Andy Kaufman. Anyways, Christopher Lloyd played one of the drivers as an old hippie who had overused drugs in the 60's - an especially loopy and gullible but kind-hearted character. The show also had a catchy jazz theme song by Bob James. You may have heard it on an elevator somewhere :)

Both of the above for the protein assay, yup!
