But the last time I was injured and tried to get in, they said it would probably be a couple of months and then they didn't phone me back anyway. Maybe that's because I'd be considered a new patient at this point.

yes, I think you 'start over' after not seeing him for so many months. I book recurring visits well in advance, he always finds something to work on :). Too bad it's a much longer drive for you.
