If you don't want to go completely dry, give yourself a limit on the number of nights out and stick to it, and a limit on what you get up to, so your recovery time isn't too excessive.

Build fun into your plan.

I do totally agree that zero is easier than one, and have been cutting out alcohol a lot recently.
