Taping for pf (one of 2 methods I like):

Stretch & massage your calves. A lot.

I found massaging the arch helped too. Can do it with a golf ball (the arch, not the heel where it hurts).

Put a towel under your foot and scrunch your toes to move the towel.

Also...did you stop rolling your calves for your Achilles when you stopped running? That might be why pf is showing up.

Did you change shoes?

I think massaging my foot is actually what triggered it. The only other real change is much more walking than usual, so heel hitting the ground harder than when I was running.

I'll try taping. It feels a little better today. Icing seemed to help too.

I change shoes on a daily basis... did spend some time walking in a pair of (really comfy) heels the other day, I'm sure that didn't help.
