is your life so complicated? Hope all sorts itself out quickly - have a great time - will be following team with great interest and fervor. Would be great if there were dots to follow.
Who needs a bike for WMTBOC anyway???
There were dots last year (for the seniors at least; I followed all of Glen's races for better or worse) so you could get lucky. Haven't found anything on the website yet though.
Surely you could just..... get.... one... somewhere? Hope there are dots - I love doing RG with powA - did a little recently. Seeing the changes in plan is fascinating! Almost like watching your brain work. :-))
I could potentially borrow a bike for the weekend but I daresay much of my gear will be in the box unless I know in advance that I won't have it in which case I can take my map board, shoes and pedals separately.
Did you have a look at Livelox (similar to RG) for the MTBO champs in Qld and Vic recently? My rides in Qld unfortunately shows me bypassing a couple of controls and doing a few backtracks but the Vic ones I executed my plans almost flawlessly. It's funny watching some of the other riders going backwards and forwards around the place :P
Yes looked at Livelox. Someone - not you - took off in one direction, did 180, then did another 180 - that is so much me in my route choice - not the wrong direction - just change mind. Also saw someone (not many uploaded at that stage) go a completely different route to everyone else - as i said - like seeing the brain at work (or not).
Yes I watched the three M50s for the Vic long champs take as many different routes between controls as it was possible to do. Very entertaining!
So we got our bikes confirmed for the second leg of the Sweden -> Austria trip but not the first. Not a great comfort knowing we can transport the bikes that we won't have from Stockholm -> Vienna.
Here's the live page
for WMMTBOC this week. I don't know who's getting GPSes though.
M40 gets it for the mass start (Wed) and middle (Sat) and also X160 in the relay, which I'm riding!
