I don't like seeing "red" on your attack point log. Happy that it wasn't too much worse though. Note- there are only 3 woc guys for the relay & I'm not subbing in this time, as too injured myself.
The doctor said I shouldn't race over the next week. I took that to mean I should ride tomorrow then have a week off in Berlin (good timing).
I think it's time to give up Elites when the WE and M40 had the same course today and I got beaten by 12 women.
Incidentally, I thought I was going to have to make use of my travel insurance for the hospital visit (which included ambulance, x-ray and ultrasound not to mention the doctor). The total bill? 20,600 HUF or roughly A$100, which just happens to be the amount of our insurance excess.
Wow...lucky/unlucky! Had your nose previously remained unbroken?
Yeah first broken nose for me. Starting to rack up the breakages now that I've hit 40. Prior to that it was just the one fractured wrist when I was 11.
I'm wondering what Adrian Jaeggi's teammates think of tomorrow's relay composition. He has had four rides this week and his four results are DNF (training), DNF (slashed tyre), DNF and MP.
I'm just glad he didn't end up with a concussion. The headaches and vertigo would have meant no racing for a while and then that would have made our MTBO&O holiday less MTBO and less O which would make us sad.
